X-47B makes historic carrier launching

X-47B makes historic carrier launching: "Naval aviation history was made today, as an autonomous unmanned aircraft took off from a US Navy nuclear aircraft carrier in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Virginia. The X-47B Unmanned Combat Air System demonstrator (UCAS-D) took to the air from the USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) and is part of a program to develop carrier-based unmanned combat aircraft capable of carrying out missions according to pre-programmed instructions rather than being under constant control by a ground-based pilot."

What is the Highest Point on Earth?: "If you ask people what is the highest point on Earth, the answer from most would be Mount Everest. Depending on how you measure the highest point, Everest is not right if you measure from the center of the Earth, and not from sea level."

Things about people

Things about people: "There are many things you do in life that you rarely think about because you do them often, so often that you don't even realize how often you do them. The average number of times you do certain things, and use certain things in a lifetime is amazing. Some of the things are weird, some of them are unbelievable, some of them are bizarre, all of them are interesting."

Funeral Industry Anticompetitive

Funeral Industry Anticompetitive: "Morbid though it may be, there are special interests in the funeral industry that attempt to distort the free market. When monks in Louisiana started selling coffins for half the state average, a state cartel of funeral home owners, acting under the auspices of the Louisiana State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors, blocked the monks from selling their coffins by enforcing onerous regulations. Similar legislation or regulations exist in many states, creating a nationwide system of overpriced funerals and caskets, says Eric Boem, a reporter for the Franklin Center for Government and Public Integrity."
