Last month, the US Navy removed one obstacle when it cleared the Boeing Phantom Badger combat support vehicle for transport inside a V-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft. After a battery of tests, including form-fit checks, pressure tests and structural evaluations of over four G’s, the modular vehicle was a step closer to deployment by the US Marine Corps and US Air Force Special Operations."

What is the best defense for protection when hiking and camping in the wilderness?: "Google bear attacks in USA, your odds of getting struck by lightening are greater than being attacked by a bear. (uh, not counting Alaska ;)

Mountain lions are also no big threat, maybe every couple years a hiker in Southern California gets jumped on.

Bandits are a different story. Depends on how far you are from the Mexican border.
Trouble makers? That's variable depending on where you are.
Not much to worry about though, if you are camping, remember... criminals tend to stay in cities and don't venture into the wild much"
